HRCA is running its annual Summer Chess Camp from July 22-26. We have several exciting options this summer!
National Master Dan Miller Morning Session 9 AM to Noon: Practical Chess Endings $175
National Master Dan Miller Afternoon Session 12:30 to 3:30 PM: World Champion Games and the History of Chess $175
Master Miller’s camps are open to all ratings; however, for the Practical Chess Endings camp, a camper must have mastered the basic patterns of King & Rook vs King, King & Queen vs King, Rook Roller, simple pawn promotion with a King, etc. Campers will be unable to understand the ending positions the Master is teaching if they do not have those foundations. Campers without those foundations are encouraged to register for Master Milanovic’s Checkmate Chess Camp or Coach Jack’s Deadliest Checkmate Patterns instead.
National Master Nemanja Milanovic Morning Session 9 AM to Noon: Checkmate Chess Camp (basic king and pawn endgames, checkmate patterns, different types of tactics, opening principles, importance of king safety, etc.) Recommended for players from unrated to 800. $175
National Master Nemanja Milanovic Afternoon Session 12:30 to 3:30 PM: Exchange to the Victory (understanding your pieces, practical endgames, pawn structures, how and when to exchange, etc.). Recommended for players rated 800 and up. $175
